We are proud to continue our collaboration with Marple Newtown High School and the VFW National Youth Scholarship Program, Voice of Democracy, for the 2024-2025 school year!
Students in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade levels have an opportunity to write an essay and record them presenting it as a speech based on the theme "Is America Today Our Forefather’s Vision?" Their speeches are collected at the school and forwarded to their local VFW for panel judging. Students at each school will receive participation awards and the 1st place awardee will have their essay submitted to the District for panel judging. The student's essay has the opportunity to win a National prize of $35,000!
Good luck to all the high schoolers out there that are participating this year. Deadlines for entry are October 31, 2024.
